CHENNAI, INDIA - DECEMBER 15: Oil spill mitigation work underway at Ennore Creek in the aftermath of Cyclone Michaung on December 15, 2023 in Chennai, India. Heavy deposits of oil had leaked from Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) on December 4 when Cyclone Michaung brought heavy rain and flooding to Chennai. The oil flowed into the Buckingham Canal, which goes from south to north in the city.
