Student Overcomes Down's Syndrome for Spirited Cheerleading Routine
Monica is a 14-year-old student from Texas with Down's syndrome and she participates in the local high school cheerleading squad. She has had great support in the school, the community, and now on social media! Although Monica is very capable as a dancer, her father says it is not always easy for her to learn the routines. She puts in a lot of time in practice and as this video shows, she does an excellent job of cheering and dancing. (Footage By Facebook/Noe Gasca/Storyful via Getty Images)
