Sky News investigates child labour in the cobalt mining industry

<<PLEASE NOTE: This is part two of a two part report. VOICED: A Sky News investigation has found children as young as four working in appalling conditions in cobalt mines in Africa -- some for as little as eight pence a day. Cobalt is widely used in batteries for smartphones and laptops -- but there's little regulation of where the substance comes from or how it's extracted. Most of the world's cobalt comes from the Democratic Republic of Congo -- one of the poorest countries in Africa after years of civil unrest. Sky News has visited several mining sites in the south of the country where the minerals are often mined by hand in small operations. Alex Crawford has this special investigation from The Democratic Republic of Congo.>> on February 27, 2017 in UNSPECIFIED, Democratic Republic Of Congo.
