<<VOICED: The police watchdog says victims are being let down and suspects left untracked, as police struggle to cope with the impact of budget cuts. The report from Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary found that police were stretched hunting almost 46 thousand suspects on the run -- including over a thousand rapists and 343 killers. There appears to be fewer bobbies on the beat too - with just 19 percent of the public seeing an officer in the past month. And while most forces were found to provide a largely good service - 13 forces across England and Wales were judged to be requiring improvement.
