British Man Claims To Be Bitcoin-Creator Satoshi Nakamoto At London Press Conference

LONDON, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 31: Stephen Mollah explains his plans to move some of the original Bitcoin from the Genesis block, during a press conference at which he claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto, creator of Bitcoin, on October 31, 2024 in London, England. At the event, organised by Charles Anderson of PR London Live, Mollah also denied allegations in an ongoing private prosecution case that he and Anderson attempted to defraud a man named Dalmit Dohil through Mollah's false claims of being Nakamoto and owning 165,000 Bitcoin stored in Singapore. Satoshi Nakamoto is widely presumed to be the pseudonym used by the person (or persons) who developed Bitcoin and authored the cryptocurrency's white paper, which was published on this day 16 years ago. At the press conference today, Mollah said that technical difficulties prevented him from demonstrating he was the real Satoshi Nakamoto. He also claimed to have created a variety of other cryptocurrencies, the Eurobond and Twitter. (Footage by Leon Neal/Getty Images)
