Coroner names British soldier who killed father in Belfast - statements outside court
Statements outside Belfast Coroner's Court from Thornton family solicitor Padraig O Muirigh, and Mr Thornton's widow, Mary Thornton, after a coroner has named the British soldier who shot Henry Thornton dead in 1971.
Mr Thornton, 29, died almost instantly when the soldier shot him through the rear of his Austin works van close to Springfield Road police station in west Belfast in August 1971.
