EXT DAY AERIAL CU Shot of the Trans World Airlines (TWA) Flight 800 crash site. The airplane, a Boeing 747-131, exploded and crashed in the Atlantic Ocean after twelve minutes of its takeoff. All 230 persons on board were killed. TWA 800 was an international passenger flight from New York to Rome. There is controversy that the cause of the crash is due to either a terrorist or United States mishap, and it is being covered up.
