Malaysian, Korean Wins Gundam Diorama Competition
TOKYO, JAPAN - DEC. 21: Malaysian and South Korean fans were the winners of an international contest to create dioramas featuring a plastic miniature of Gundam, one of the most famous robot characters created in the Japanese comics.
The GUNPLA Builders World Cup, an annual event sponsored by the toy manufacturer Bandai Co. of Japan, attracted competitors from across
Asia and Pacific, who want to show off their hand made Gundams in a variety of scenes. Andy Wong from Malaysia displayed the Gundam in yellow combat uniform and selected as the first prize winner in the open course for those
who are over 15 years old. Ji-Hoon An from South Korea created a diorama in which Gundam is trying to climb a snowy hill. He was the winner in the junior course for those who are 14 years old or younger.
