Razor Wire Entangles Migrants At US-Mexico Border

EL PASO, TEXAS - MARCH 13: In an aerial view, immigrants board busses to be taken for processing after they crossed the U.S.-Mexico border on March 13, 2024 in El Paso, Texas. Vast amounts of the razor wire have been placed on the riverbank by Texas National Guard troops as part of Governor Greg Abbott's "Operation Lone Star" to deter migrants from crossing into Texas. The vast majority of them, however, manage to pass through, and are then permitted to turn themselves in to U.S. Border Patrol agents, usually to request asylum. The Biden Administration has sued Texas to remove the razor wire, citing humanitarian concerns, as many immigrants suffer injuries while entangled in the barbs. (Footage by John Moore/Getty Images)
