Deforestation In The Amazon
Illegal logging in the province of Maranhão has a massive impact on the traditional lives of the Quilombo communities who had been living sustainably and in harmony with nature in the area for hundreds of years. The local communities' along with the indigenous tribe of Ka'apor warriors are trying to combat deforestation and confront illegal loggers in an attempt to convince to stop the practice. The problem is much more complex and involves not only loggers who work in small groups and are trying to make a living but also illegal large-scale ranches that can leave large swathes of previously lush and dense rainforest obliterated and scorched by fire.
