FDNY Calls Electrical Fire Beneath Penn Station Accidental
WPIX : An investigation revealed that the fire that broke out below Penn Station early Tuesday occurred accidentally.
FDNY said the blaze was electrical, and likely started at a construction site using temporary wiring to light the area. FDNY requested power be shut off to LIRR tracks, a move that threatened to stymie the morning rush.
