The small settlement or village at Welshpool is set in the foothills of the beautiful Strzelecki ranges in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. It is the gateway to Corner Inlet and the eastern shores of Wilson's Promontory National Park. The Grand Ridge road runs through this countryside, with the nearby towns of Foster and Leongatha within easy reach. Fine agricultural land through the undulating hills here is mostly dairying and cattle raising, with milk from the farms sent to Leongatha for processing.
