Electric vehicle power comparison, illustration - stock photo
Infographic illustration comparing hydrogen fuel cells with lithium ion batteries in electric vehicles. Fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) use a much smaller battery compared to battery powered electric vehicles (BPEV). FCEVs require a tank to store hydrogen gas, which the fuel cell converts into electricity and produces water as the only emission. FCEVs require a much smaller amount of minerals and metals for its battery compared to BPEVs, however the cars offer less range. The lack of hydrogen refuelling stations and inability to refuel at home has hampered the mass adoption of FCEVs
