Yue stoneware jar with overlapping lotus petals, late Tang dynasty-Five Dynasties period, China, 10th century. A Yue jar of inverted pear shape with narrow horizontal shoulder and vertical mouth flanked by small stem-like handles. The body under the shoulder is carved with overlapping lotus petals, all with thin line striations (other than the bottom row).
