White rimmed celadon bowl with moulded peony scrolls, Jin dynasty, China, 13th century. A bowl from Jiexiu kiln, Shanxi province, with greyish brown body, the interior of which is decorated with finely moulded peony scrolls. The bowl is covered inside and out with a dark brownish green glaze except for the lower portion of the exterior, the base and a circular band for stacking at the centre of the interior which encircles a glazed spiral flower.
