(Original Caption) 3/14/1958-Washington, DC- Everybody seems to be happy here as President Eisenhower poses with a group of labor leaders who visited him at the White House. The group presented a five-point "action now" program for halting the recession. The program included a tax cut, increased unemploymnet compensation, greater defense spending and a public works plan. From left are: David Dubinsky, President of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union; David J. McDonald, President of the United Steel Workers; President Eisenhoer; George Meany, President of the AFL-CIO; and Walter Reuther, President of the United Auto Workers.
