(Original Caption) This isn't catcher Pete Rose sliding head-first into home plate during third inning of Giants-Reds game at Candlestick Park 8/2. The catcher's leggings belong to Giant catcher Dave Reder who tumbled behind Rose as Rose won the race to the plate in a rundown. When Joe Morgan hit a grounder to the mound, which was thrown to 1st baseman Ed Goodson too late to get Morgan, Goodson went to Rader for the out on Rose who outran Rader for the score.
