'Skywhale' Launches In Canberra

CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA - MAY 11: The "Skywhale" hot air balloon sculpture by Canberra artist Patricia Piccinini is tethered near the National Museum after its maiden flight over Canberra, on May 11, 2013 in Canberra, Australia. The balloon is twice the size of a standard hot air balloon and weighs half of a tonne. Commissioned by the Centenary of Canberra, the balloon will feature as part of the 'Sculpture: Space and Place' symposiam at the gallery and will travel to Tasmania and Melbourne later in the year.
