WEIMAR, GERMANY: The partially-damaged deathmask of German poet Friedrich Schiller is on display at the Weimar Palace museum 17 December 2004, during an exhibition of items rescued from the fire that destroyed the historical Anna-Amalia Library. Over 50.000 books and some 35 paintings were destroyed in a fire that gutted the historical building 02 September 2004.
