(Original Caption) The Hughes War Contract probe washmalted today until November 17th, and Howard Hughes, accused Senator Owen Brewster, (R) of Maine, the Chairman of the Senate War Investigating Committee, of "taking a runout powder." Sub-committee Chairman Ferguson, (R) of Michigan, said the recess was necessary because of the disappearance of Hughes' Press Agent John W. Meyer, but Hughes wrathfully termed that "ridiculous."
