VAD Nurse Wearing Gas Mask While Typing
(Original Caption) The British Red Cross Society is fighting the gas-warfare peril by training volunteers in chemical and anti-gas defense at the London headquarters of the society. The British War Office has given its approval of the training and even sends instructors to various Red Cross Society Centers throughout the country to give members instructions in gas defense. The photo shows a V.A.D. (Voluntary Aid Detachment) nurse at the Society's London headquarters typing while wearing a gas mask.
