(Original Caption) 7/26/1953-Teheran, Iran- Members of the Tudeh (Communist) Party in Iran carry placards which denounce the United States and Great Britain during a powerful demonstration in Teheran's Parliament Square, July 21. The cartoon-poster at the left shows a local boy giving Uncle Sam and John Bull the "heave-ho." More than 100,000 demonstrators gathered in a surprise display of Communist power in Iran. The occasion was the celebration of the first anniversary of the riots that ended the four-day premiership of Ahmad Ghadvam and returned Dr. Mohammed Mossadegh to power last July.
