(Original Caption) September 14, 1922. Fire Boat With New High Pressure. The New York Fire Department on September 14, conducted tests with new high pressure pumps on the fireboat James Duane. The new pumps are capable of pumping 9,800 gallons of water per minute. They were installed by the Todd Shipyard Corporation and the tests were held in the Erie Basin.
