Windsor, CT Residents Prepare To Walk 113 Miles Of History
BOSTON, MA - AUGUST 20: Residents of Windsor, CT assemble at First Parish Church at Meeting House Hill in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston to retrace a 113-mile route walked by their forebears from Dorchester to Windsor on Aug. 20, 1983. In 1633, a group of Puritans from the Dorchester colony, dissatisfied with the policies of Governor Winslow, left the colony and trekked into the Connecticut Valley to found the settlement of Windsor. 35 Windsor residents are retracing the journey to mark the town's 350th anniversary.
