Wake Held For Journalists Massacred In Southern Philippines

GENERAL SANTOS, PHILIPPINES - NOVEMBER 27: Relatives, friends and supporters of journalists, among 57 people massacred in the southern Philippine town of Ampatuan in Maguindanao, attend a wake held for the murdered journalists on November 27, 2009 in General Santos, Philippines. Around 100 gunmen are reported to have hijacked a party of 30-40 people en route to filing election papers for candidate Mangudadatu ahead of next May's elections. Mangudadatu's wife, Armed Forces of the Philippines, civilians and media personnel were amongst those killed in the politically motivated attack, believed to be work of the Ampatuan clan. The Ampatuan clan instead blamed Muslim rebels behind the massacre. (Photo by Jeoffrey Maitem/Getty Images)
