APR 14 1969, APR 15 1969 Part of Post Office Burglary Loot Found The charred remains of some items believed taken in a weekend burglary of the Trinidad, Colo., Post Office were found Monday afternoon near Stapleton International Airport by two Colorado Highway Department employes, Darold Smith, 1051 Worcester St., and Marvin Everidge, 2540 Kenton St., both of Aurora. Looking over material are, from left, Smith, Patrolman Richard Barber, and Everidge. Barber said the two men found two metal boxes a short distance south of Interstate 70 just east of the Stapleton north-south runway. Fire didn't destroy all the material in the boxes, Barber said. Postal inspectors reported about $36,000 was taken in the break-in. Credit: Denver Post (Denver Post via Getty Images)
