There is evidence that bobbin lace has been made in the Erzgebirge for more than 450 years - this handicraft technique is deeply rooted in the region. Together with other women, Daniela Böhme meets regularly at the lace-making school in Annaberg-Buchholz to pursue her hobby. The basic equipment includes a bobbin bag filled with hay and a stone, needles, scissors and, depending on the pattern, a certain number of wooden bobbins.
