(Original Caption) 6/30/1975-New York, New York- Carlos Monzon of Argentina smiles and raises his arms in victory as referee Tony Perez holds onto challenger Tony Licata and stops the fight in the tenth round of their World Boxing Association middleweight title match in Madison Square Garden. Monzon downed Licata with a barrage in the eighth round, and again in the tenth, a minute before Perez stopped the action, to retain his title.
