Mike Hastings poses between the helmets
Mike Hastings poses between the helmets of famous Australian outlaw Ned Kelly in his home town of Jerilderie, some 750 kilometres (465 miles) southwest of Sydney, where Hastings - who genealogists contend - is the rightful heir to the British throne lives, 02 October 2005. Hastings, who is the 14th Earl of Loudoun, was contacted by a Channel Four documentary whose extensive research concluded Hastings' ancestors were cheated out of the crown in the 15th century, when documents showed that King Edward IV, who ruled from 1461 to 1483, was illegitamate because when he was conceived his parents were 200 kilometres apart, meaning Hastings should rightfully be the British head of state.
