(Original Caption) Lt. Gen. Anthony C. McAuliffe, Army Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel, as he told reporters at the Pentagon here today that 46,000 men have deserted the army since the Korean War started, but that 35,000 have been picked up by the military. This leaves a total of 11,000 now classified as deserters.
