(Original Caption) ANN ARBOR-7/20/70-: John Norman Collins, 23, of Centerline, Michigan who is charged with the slaying of Karen Sue Beineman, 18, of Grand Rapids on July 23, 1969, arrives at the Washtenaw County Courthouse 7/20 for his first degree murder trial. After six weeks of jury selection the trial opened nearly a year to the day after the death of Miss Beineman.
