(Original Caption) Jesse Owens, Ohio State track marvel, shown as he won the 220-yard dash, beating the world's record by 3/10 of a second, and his nearest competitor, Andy Dooley of Iowa, by ten yards, at the Big Ten Track and Field Meet in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His time for the event was 20-3/10 seconds. Owens set new world marks in the 220-yard hurdles, and the running broad jump, and tied the world mark for the 100 yard-dash, in one of the most amazing performances ever seen at any meet.
