Aug 1975: Headingley Cricket Ground, Yorkshire. On the eve of the final days play in the Ashes Test, Australia were poised at 220-3, 225 runs short of Englands total. During the night a group of supporters of a convicted armed robber daub slogans, ''George Davies is innocent'', around the ground, dig up the pitch and pour oil onto it.
