(Original Caption) Having it out with umpire Ed Hurley in certain terms are Yankees Yogi Berra (left), catcher, Casey Stengel, manager and Don Bollweg (right), first baseman, July, 3, in the sixth inning of their game with the athletics at Yankee Stadium, the Yankees piled on Hurley after he had a session with the Athletics. The hurly-burly started when Dave Philley of the Athletics topped a ball which plate umpire Ed Rommel tagged the outfielder. The Athletics' Rhubarb followed and Hurley ruled the ball foul, and Philley not out. The ruling stood, despite the discussion (above) with the Yankees. The Yankees won, 4-0.
