Hale, a wealthy rancher and oil magnate and John Ramsey, also prominent in the Osage district near Guthrie, Oklahoma were indicted by the federal Grand Jan. 9th at Guthrie, Okla., charged with the murder of Henry Roan, a wealthy Osage Indian, one of nine slain, according to Federal agents, by a murder ring which sought to obtain their oil lands.
