Nearly 900 baby ducks arrive at The Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA - May 04: A few of the nearly 900 baby mallard ducklings huddle together under a heat lamp after a tsunami of orphans came in, according to Debbie McGuire, a board member who is one of the centers directors at The Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center in Huntington Beach Tuesday, May 4, 2021. On Monday, the center asked for the publics assistance to help provide food for hundreds of orphaned mallard ducklings that are currently in the facilitys care and received a lot of donations from the public. McGuire explained the organization is the only one in all of Orange County that rescues orphaned ducklings hence the high number. (Allen J. Schaben / Los Angeles Times via Getty Images)
