(Original Caption) Babe's fungo bat sets record...Highlight of the charity baseball carnival staged by the New York Yankees, Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers at the Polo Grounds, New York City, September 24th, was the odd contests held by the diamond stars. Babe Ruth (above) established a new world's mark for fungo batting when he drove a ball 422 feet. This broke the mark of 419 feet made by Big Ed Walsh.
