Austrian author of 'The Pianist' Elfriede Jelinek and winner of the 2004 Nobel Prize for Literature at her home in the outskirts of Vienna. During an interview she was quoted as saying: 'I pray I will never receive any Nobel Prize.' Jelinek is the ninth woman to be awarded the prestigious prize since its creation in 1901.
