(Original Caption) 12/7/1957-Atlantic City, NJ- George Meany, President of the AFL-CIO, is shown addressing the convention in Atlantic City yesterday just before the vote to expel the Brotherhood of Teamsters from the great organization. Mr. Meany revealed that teamster President-elect James R. Hoffa had made overtures for compromise during the past several weeks. AFL-CIO delegates voted to expel the teamsters by a 5-1 margin.
