Russian Guards Drag Defector Evokiya Petrov to Airplane

(Original Caption) April 21, 1954-Sydney, Australia: Mrs. Evokiya Petrov, wife of the Soviet agent who broke with the Reds last week and turned over details of a Red spy ring to Australian authorities is dragged through a crowd at Sydney Airport, April 19, as the crowd tried to prevent Russian couriers from putting her aboard a plane to be taken back to Moscow. When the plane landed at Darwin, Australian police boarded it, overpowered the armed guards and gave Mrs. Petrov her choice of remaining in Australia or continuing to Moscow. She decided to remain.
