Batis Inn is a two-floor building with an indoor garden and a façade of ornate arches looking over the seafront. It has a total surface of 1500 m2 and is located in Iskele of Urla, just next to the quay. It was built in the 1820s and has typical characteristics of the urban and port architecture of the 19th century. During the Ottoman Empire it was used as a customs house. Later, in the beginning of the 20th century it was widely known as the ( Batis coffee house ) or (Batis taverna ).
