Chongqing's "Thousand-Hand Kwan-yin" Statue Gets Restored

The "Thousand-Hand Kwan-yin" statue was built in China's Southern Song Dynasty which is well known for producing sculpture, painting and gilding. The statue was the "First Project" of National Historic Stonerelics that started to be prospected and restored in 2008 and on April 18, 2011, the restoration work began officially. After 7 years hard efforts, a whole and new "Thousand-Hand Kwan-yin" statue will be finished in June in 2015.
