The Elephant Orphanage Project in Zambia

The keeper of the Elephant Orphanage Project and orphan baby elephants at the Lilayi Elephant Nursery in Lusaka, Zambia on 18 July 2016. The Elephant Orphanage Project is the first rehabilitation center of its kind in the Southern African region. Elephants spend most of their time outside the orphanage to adapt to wildlife. Keepers help them to be saved and also feed them every 3 hours. Other people cannot touch the animals or be near them so that the animals don't get used to human attention. After the rehabilitation, elephants are moved to Kafue National Park. (Photo by Oleksandr Rupeta/NurPhoto via Getty Images)
