(Original Caption) Secretary of State Bryan signing peace treaties between the United States, France, Great Britain, Spain and China. In notifying Russia, Germany, Austria and Belgium of the signing of the treaties, he announced that this country stands ready to enter into similar treaties with all the nations of the earth. In his message to the Powers, the Secretary drew attention to the fact that two thirds of the entire population of the world are now living under these peace treaties. Right to left: Chinese Ambassador, Spanish Ambassador and Mrs. Bryan.
