Long Island residents respond to mystery ballots

LONG ISLAND, ME - DECEMBER 5: A man walk down the pier to a ferry on Long Island on Friday, December 5, 2014. Long Island residents say that if any unethical activity surrounding the 21 mystery ballots that showed up in the Senate District 25 race occurred, it did not happen on the island. Residents say that Long Island Town Clerk Brenda Singo is extremely regimented and would not stuff a ballot box. The race between Republican Cathy Manchester of Gray and Democrat Cathy Breen of Falmouth was a close race involving a recount which gave Manchester an 11-vote victory over Breen. The Maine Democratic Party has called for an investigation into the discrepancy between Long Island's 171 tabulated votes and the 192 that were tallied up during the recount.
