A Lebanese volunteer from the "Bahr Lubn

Beirut, LEBANON: A Lebanese volunteer from the "Bahr Lubnan" (Lebanon's Sea) NGO cleans the water at a beach in Beirut, 14 November 2006. Almost three months after the Isareli offensive against Lebanono's Hezbollah militants that came to an end 14 August 2006, the Lebanese coast is still contaminated with a massive oil slick caused by the Jewish state's bombardment of a power station. More than 15,000 tonnes of fuel spilled in the Mediterranean, fouling three quarters of Lebanon's 200-kilometre (124-mile) coast. The country's Western-backed cabinet is faced a deep crisis today as pro-Syrian opponents called for a change of government after it adopted a UN trial plan despite the resignation of six ministers.
