TOKYO, JAPAN: Japan's electronics giant NEC employee Yoko Noda displays her electrocardiogram on the home-use electronic health monitoring terminal "Sukoyaka-net" (Health-net) at the company's headquarters in Tokyo 19 March 2001. The Sukoyaka-net, developed to support at-home care for elderly people, features a tonometer, cardiograph and pulse measurement on its compact terminal to provide real time data communication with a medical care center through the Internet. A system of "Sukoyaka-net", including server, software and 100 terminals, is a price of 35 million yen (285,000 USD).
