INDIA-ARTS-CINEMA

In this photograph taken on August 21, 2014, the Indian owner of a temporary cinema theatre writes a ticket for 10 INR (0.165 USD) for a customer to watch a movie in New Delhi. For 10 INR (0.165 USD), cycle-rickshaw pullers, labourers and the homeless can watch Hindi Bollywood movies in a temporarily-constructed cinema under a bridge near the banks of the Yamuna river. For some four to five months of the year, lower water levels in the river mean the makeshift theatre can open for business.
