CHINA-CULTURE-LI CHENGPENG
Chinese writer Li Chengpeng, looked upon by many as a a highly influential Chinese blogger and social commentator, attends a promotional event of his new book "SmILENCE" on January 26, 2013 in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan province. Li was attacked by Maoists earlier at his book signings in Beijing and Shenzhen, forcing him to cancel two others in Guangzhou and Changsha. The Maoists take offence to Li's caustic essays and comments about the Communist Party’s governance. Li has previously been punched in the head at a previous signing.
