New Delhi, INDIA: An elderly Indian woman listens to a speaker during a rally held against 'female foeticide' in New Delhi, 10 December 2006. Fresh statistics show that 80% of India's districts have recorded a decline in girls-boys sex ratio since 1991. The all-India average is 927 girls for 1000 boys. The worst offender is Punjab state where the ratio of girls has dropped from 875 in 1991 to 798 in 2001. The Indian capital recorded a 47-point drop from 915 girls to 868 during the 10-year period.
